50-Bracket Boss: Hemlock

So I'm a mod in this group which means I got to make a cool boss character and her she is~ X'D

Name: Hemlock

Continent: Warivan

Dungeon area: Dark Forest

Species: Drow

Class: Mystic

Weapon:  Staff

Abilities:

                Trap Root: She calls a root up from the ground which will grab hold of the first player to come within reach, immobilizing them for 10 seconds. 3 can be pulled up at any time.

                Hover: She lifts off the ground slightly and pulls back 10 feet. Also increases her speed slightly for 5 seconds.

                Medical Hemlock: Instant spell that heals 5 health a second over 10 seconds.

                Illusion: She makes 2 copies of herself that travel the area in random order. They follow her motions, but do not deal damage and vanish when attacked.

                Uproot: Area of effect attack where several large roots emerge from the ground for medium damage.

                Hemlock Seed: She plants a seed in the ground which can poison up to 3 people who step within range of it. It infects the first person for 8 points of damage a second over 10 seconds. The second is infected for 5 points of damage a second over 10 seconds. The third is infected for 3 points of damage over 10 seconds. Only one can be planted at a time.

                Poison Pulse: Poisons one target for 5 points of damage over 10 seconds.

Fighting style: Hemlock’s strategy is to keep as much distance between herself and her opponent as possible. She tries to immobilize her opponent then pile on poison damage. Her healing ability makes her very enduring, and her slow speed at dealing damage means battles with her can go on for quite some time. Warriors, Slayers and Berserkers will have an especially hard time getting near her, but she’s very squishy against physical attackers if they can manage to succeed. All of her attacks have a fairly slow cooldown rate leading to moments of vulnerability.

Basically, she’s really annoying to fight XD

After months of being the plaything of the Dark Forest, Hemlock returned with a vengeance. Once she gained power over the forest, she considered it her domain. She doesn’t take well to people entering whether its players or other bosses, though she thoroughly enjoys messing with them. It’s not uncommon for her to spontaneously attack a low level player that happened to be passing through just for the lols. Being the 50 bracket boss she carries an air of superiority with her and may talk down to the lower level bosses. She does have a weakness for cute things and things from light or nature though. She’s much more approachable if someone happens to have an animal companion or something else about them that fits into this. Sadly though this seems to be only part of Amaya that survived the hemlock poisoning.

History: Hemlock was once an ordinary adventurer who went by the name Amaya. She became hopelessly lost in the Dark Forest one day, but it quickly became apparent that it wasn’t just her own misdirection at play. It was the forest itself. The combination of monsters and illusions ensured that she’d never found her way out. She survived off the provisions of the forest for quite some time, and could even fend off the monsters quite well without exhausting herself. Months passed and still the forest showed no signs of letting her leave. Finally, she succumbed, killing herself by hemlock poisoning. The forest wasn’t finished with her yet though. She was revived, and for a time the forest took full control of her body, making her attack any that entered. It wasn’t until Orignorilka came and freed her from her code that she was also freed of the forests influence. Empowered, she now commands the forest instead.

Other:

    -          Her staff is the same one she used before she died. The Hemlock grew inside the orb after she was revived.
